“Lifelines” is a direct result of an unexpected medical emergency that I experienced in early spring of this year. I had to learn the art of surrender and allow my fate to unfold. I was asked if I had a “do not resuscitate order” and I reacted with comic relief “only if I am a vegetable”. Laughter is the best medicine right? Or is making art?
Creating art became part of my convalescence. The “Lifelines” series that was formulating in my mind’s eye expressed itself in aqueous abstracted layers and forms. This series was intentional and developed over time and I can only hope it holds your attention and excites your curiosity.
Art is Beauty. Art is a Healer. Art Makes Us Human.
